“FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD” – James 2:20
The Mission Committee of Kingsley United Methodist Church uses this verse as a guiding principal in our efforts.
We have stretched out our hands locally to build wheelchair ramps, Habitat for Humanity and roof repair, as well as disaster recovery to Bellefontaine, Ohio; Henryville, Indiana; Frakes, Kentucky; Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and Houston, Texas.
We have a special working relationship with the United Methodist Camp Widewater at Liberty Center, Ohio for building, repairing, and landscaping to enable them to provide a better camping experience for young and old alike.
The Mission Committee also exercises stewardship of the church’s financial investment in missions on a local, regional, national, and global basis. From YMCA Sumer Food for Kids to Ft. Wayne Baby’s Closet to UMCOR national disasters to Brazilian Missionaries to Imagine No Malaria in Africa to motorbikes for Vietnamese UM pastors in Vietnam.
We seek opportunities for involvement by prayer, funds, and labor. Our helping hands to others is just one of our ways of witnessing to others for Jesus Christ.
